I never intended things to turn out this way, and yet somehow as I looked back through the photos I took over our holidays, I kept coming up against the number four.
And I thought, why not just run with it. So here it is:
Four family gatherings (plus one more to come)
Four road-trips with our thank-goodness-they-travel-well children.
Four (hilarious) aunts
Four Aces (or so he claimed)
Four hours (times half of four) of enjoyment, food, games and hilarity
Four extra rows and four extra columns
Four rockets recovered (and two lost)
Four kids sitting nicely for a picture (and one with ants in pants)
Four-tunate how that all worked out, isn’t it?
